Dave Knickerbocker

I’m Dave Knickerbocker, a church planter in Boardman, OH, who is patiently waiting for God to reveal my next missional opportunity. I’ve been married to Vanda for 17 years and we have three knicklings: Jess, Emma and Zach.

This blog is intended to get feedback on the topic of my first book called The Attractive Shepherd. I’ve been turned down by some of the best literary agents and publishers in the business (no, really). All of them have been very encouraging about the book’s content and style. But, with publishing being such a risky business, it’s very rare for a publisher to venture publishing an unknown. Since I’m not famous and don’t have a billion-member church it’s up to me to get the word out. I enjoyed the first blog I did as the church planter of The Gate and thought it would be great to have the book as a theme for another blog.

So, while I may blog on just about anything, feel free to read my first chapter and tell me what you think in a comment in the Book Feedback section – even if you have reason to disagree with what I’ve presented.  If the concept appeals to you, please refer it to a friend or two hundred. Subscribing to this blog would be a big help, too. I hope and pray that you are blessed by what you read.
